Thought I would post an update for you if anyone is interested....thanks for all the very kind offers of going to see my horse to check he was ok and all the advice and kindness that was given
It is no suprise that my loanee is not going to be buying my horse
but it took a fair while to get that definite statement out of her
It turns out that she had in fact not had a break from horse owning for Uni as she told when she first viewed my horse. She very calmly informed me that "as I haven't really ridden for 11yrs I need a horse to give me some confidence so I won't be buying yours"

No wonder my RC eventer/dressage horse wasn't the perfect match - why the flippin' heck couldn't she have been honest in the first place??!!
I have always heard horror stories of loaning and so many people say not to risk it but I have loaned horses before and treated them better than my own plus she seemed so genuine and the perfect home so I took the chance. Even if I were to remain a horse owner it goes without saying that loaning a horse out would never be an option again, which makes me feel sorry for all those honest, genuine loanees who deserve to give a horse a loving home but just don't have the initial capital to buy
The good news for my horse is that a close friend is able to take him on schooling and sales livery for me and I trust her 1million% to do right by him....anyone looking for a cheeky part-bred RC horse, drop me a PM
As usual I've been baking - chocolate flapjacks all round
