I had a phone call from the stud today and it has worked!
This morning they were put in the stable together for the first time,and this afternoon turned out in the nursery paddock together.
The vet has been and tested her milk and she has lots and lots!!
 
Thank you for letting us know ,you must be so proud.Will you be putting her in foal again? Are there any stallions down that way that you like?
You know I was worried about your mare but this has put such a smile on my face and a tear in my eye
 
Im deffinatly going to see her(regulary!!)Will probably be upsetting when i have to leave her again.
The person that has her says that she knows of a coloured stallion down her way(del boy,i think)She is going to send me a stud card for him,and if i want to use him pay for my stud fee.Not to sure if im going to put her back in foal yet.Still thinking on that one!
 
Well done, thats great news. I am always so glad to hear people do this, I would always offer up my mare if in the right situation and it was the right thing to do

That's fantastic news.

I know it's very soon to think about another having just lost a foal but it might reassure you to know that my mare had a still-born foal but the next time round produced a beautiful live filly who is now 8 months old.
