I've almost had Ruby a week now. And I am pleased to say she has settled in nicely, she is still in the field by herself next to the others, she doesn't get along with one of the geldings in the big field (they are meeting over the fence ATM) and as his only just come off boxrest we have decided to leave it a little longer to put her out with the others as we don't want the gelding to injure himself again! So hopefully next week, she will go out with them :D then hopefully they can sort out the pecking order when shes in and no more problems! *heres hoping*

I've lunged her twice and ridden once, all 3 times she has behaved perfectly. I have been working with her, to get her to canter on the right leg on the left rein. We had a breakthrough yesterday when we realised she will always land on the right leg after a jump, so after putting out a pole and cantering over it she will switch to the correct lead, then trying to keep the canter going, lots of circles etc to build her up so she finds it easier.

Her feet are in desperate need off doing, so she has the farrier coming out to her on Weds, hope she behaves! I also have the dentist and saddle fitter coming out as well :) I noticed yesterday when I was washing her legs, that she must of had a bad case off mudfever at her old home, the scabs are very old and her hair is still coming out :( is there anything I can do?

I have uploaded some new pictures to my albulm so feel free to take a look, the ridden photos were taken yesterday :) xx

Thanks :)

Got to be honest, didn't really think owning a Horse would be this much work! but I am loving every minute of it :D and looking forward to the challenge of schooling her and aiming to do my first show with her by end of the summer, but no rush I have forever with her.

Brill! Glad you are having fun with her though and she is doing well! I love your last line of that hence why I quoted, looking forward to hearing lots and lots about your future together!
