Well, brought my poor girl back to vets this morning, turns out the lump on her side is cancerous, but they were more concerned that the anti-biotics didnt work. They gave her two injections of anti biotics and pain relief and I was supposed to bring her back in the morning for more bloods. Left her in the kitchen and mucked out. was checking on her every hour. Went to school to collect the childrren and to riding school for an hour. When I got home, went to go straight down the stables, but something told me to check on the dog first. Poor mite was so swollen, she couldnt walk, or even get up. I carried her to the car and brought her straight back to the vets. 2 hours later, I had to leave her overnight on a drip, after getting a huge amount of shots through her "freddie" as the kids call it. Vet rang an hour ago to say she was doing well, and scoffed down three bowls of food and a bowl of water. She did say there was a chance she still might have to be pts, but things are looking up. fingers crossed for her. xxxxx

She's still in the vets but just spoke to vet and she came come home on medication tomorrow. They are still not sure if where the wound and swelling is, is cancer related, and she will have to heal up first before they can confirm, but she;s in great form. xxxx

Good news I guess. At least she's happy and will no doubt be glad to come home. Quality of life is really the important thing whatever the diagnosis. :) xx

Thats good she is coming home tomorrow, lets hope the swelling isnt cancer related and she is soon on the mend.

As Nickib said quality of life is the important thing and fingers crossed she continues to improve.
