I posted a while ago about my elderly whippet, Lucy, whom the vet had diagnosed as suffering with senility. She (Lucy, not vet :p ) was miserable, biting my other dog with whom she's previously got on fine, soiling in the house sometimes and wandering off on walks and paying no attention to me when I called her. The vet recommended a supplement called Aktivait and, thanks to a couple of kind posters on here (you know who you are :) ) I bought some on line and the results have been excellent.

I realise that Lucy is an old dog and will deteriorate eventually (already feed her glucosamine enriched food and lift her into car etc) but even if it's only for a while, I feel that I have got my old girl back which is brilliant. Her appetite has improved, she is interested in what we are doing, is friendly with my other dog, is enjoying her walks again and coming when called and, most amazingly of all, she actually played with one of her toys yesterday for a little while.

Hope this helps anyone else considering using this supplement. I don't have shares in the company by the way :p

Good to hear a positive update. I presume Aktivait is similar to vivitonin, which I have also heard good reports from. Glad your girl has perked up, hope you are able to enjoy her for a good while yet.

That sounds very interesting, I wonder if it would help our senile old terrier who is a bit dazed and confused this week.
