Over the hill and far awa
I have spoken to the welfare officer of the BHS for our county, AND NOW I KNOW HOW AMERSHAM HAPPENED!
The land is in the hands of the receiver, no-one knows who ownes the horses. They have been there since the summer and are being monitored by the welfare officers contact in the area. They have access to water by means of a stream.
These horses are incredibly thin, Icould count their ribs through their winter coats, their hip bones look like the hook bones on a cow. They have eaten the privet bare. They had foals on late. Their backs are like razors and their back ends are concave. HOW MUCH MORE MONITORING DO THEY NEED?
I am now steaming and will continue to hassle every welfare charity I can find.
Thanks to the HHO members who are also going to look at and report these animals, I think we may be in for a fight.
