He took some time to settle in and was pretty nervous in the stable, but within a week was running to us in the paddock to be caught.
We lunged him and CCJ rode him he leapt to start with as he hadn't been ridden for 6 months but soon stopped messing about.
He got front shoes on, again pretty worried but only I think because of the long lay off he has had, and hacks out well alone or in company.
He is good in traffic and brave which pleased us .
Today C cantered him in circles, jumped him over several fences and he is good at jumping. He does however need a pelham despite his size as he is strong, previously having been used for Prince Philip practices.
I managed to contact his previous local P CLub the Quantoc, and they confirmed what the seller's told us was correct.
Another few days and he will be ready to sell, ideally to a lightweight 12 year old who doesn't worry about his forwardness, he has no malice just keen.
Plan is to get some pics of a smaller rider than CCj and advertise him. Does £800 sound about right?

£800 sounds a bargain if he does a bit of everything. Try the Pony Club website, a friend advertised her 13.2 on there and was literally mobbed within 24 hrs by 11 people wanting him

! It's also cheap.

How big etc is he? I missed your other post!

He sounds like he'll be super with the right rider and some good schooling!

There are pics of him the day we bought him on my blog www.narramorehorses.blogspot.com
He was sold as 1.2hh but I reckon more like 12 hands? stocky build however he carries CCj with ease.
Good fun pony for someone who hasn't much cash and just wants to enjoy him, or he is stunningly pretty, could easily do lead rein.
We bought him as a project to see if he could make us a small profit and because he was such a nice looking pony who obviously hated being taken to a sale.
