Was at the vet this week, got my lad x-rayed, nothing showing, and a lameness workup done and we have decided it is a high suspensory problem, no point in nerve blocking as the vet would mroe than likely be kicked, but we did manage to sedate him and he was treated with Tilldren and we will see if that makes an improvement, he is on 2 weeks gentle exercise at the moment.
So fingers crossed please as I think if it doesn't work we look at surgery and I'll have nothing to ride all summer

, nevermind the risks and the stress with this particular horse who is needle phobic and likely to be prone to lymphangitis if box rested, as well as being a very enthusiastic ride, at the minute witrh three weeks in the field off, he is bouncing all over the place as we hack around a bit!

Sisters mare was also there, and now on valium to calm her and see if it relieves her back or not, also found her a very positive reaction to flexion on one back leg so had a steroid injection to the coffin joint, so she is also on gentle exercise beginning this week and review when my lad is.
horses, eh?
