I saw the YO this morning who said that she had seen the livery whose horse is poorly yesterday. Apparently the horse is slightly better - he is out of intensive care and off a 24/7 drip. He's been allowed into the paddock for short periods of time (still at vets) and is trying to eat, so sounds hopefuly

Apparently he still has a lot of ulcers in his throat/stomach and they aren't sure if it i damaged too badly until he starts to eat properly again, but it is definately looking better than last week! It seems the source of the problem has been traced back to a dodgey haylage bale (she was using the small ones) but as there is none left to test/sample they wont have a leg to stand on if they tried to go after the supplier.

Yes, thank you flicker - it is marginally better (touches wood quick) OH has managed to find someone to work over xmas for us (his friend's daughter) and am hoping I can convince her to come on board permanently. She is very experienced, has her own horses and was 'named' in a H&H hunting report as a rising star of the future
