I stood firm with the prospective purchaser and said as long as the horse passes the vet then I expect payment in full and for you to insure her whilst she is at livery with me i.e. until they pick her up. The lady assumed that the horse came with all her tack and rugs etc to which I hastily said "no way!! the saddle belongs to her owner and everything else is mine. She comes as is - i.e with NOTHING". I've never had a horse come with anything so why they expected her to come with all her bits I really don't know!!
Anyway she left a message this morning saying they'll pick her up next Friday if she passes the vet next Weds. So please everyone keep their fingers crossed it goes ok.
I'll be very sad to see her go becuase she's been fantastic but its time to move onto the next project.
Thank you everyone for your advice. It definately pays to stand firm and not be too nice, as is often my problem!
