Vet just been , penny not as bad as yesterday, but still on toe walking uphill, slight lameness in walk once she done half doz steps, then it easies up. Slight heat in fetlock joint this morning, vet examined whole leg from toe to rump. Nothing obvious, no point of soreness, no,response to hoof pinchers , no thornin frog or sole, her spavin is warm to touch, so vet is thinking she has strained something , decided to leave shoe on for few days because she really don't think it's an abcess . Penny is lame anyway without a shoe on. Got to bute her and box rest till tues, then if no improvement x rays to rule out other things and to confirm its possible her arthritis gone worse. Had nightmare last night where a vet was getting a gun out to shoot her... Woke at 3 really worked up. I will be thanking The Lord if it is just her arthritis, cos we can manage that.
