Well despite being naked the lump situation became worse, they had changed from a scab like lump every so often to a awful nettle type rash which was starting to creep down his fore legs, shoulders and neck. It was predominately (sp) on the front part of his body, but he still appeared fine in himself, full of beans and eating well.

The vet came out and said what a mess he looked and did the usual tests, he gave him an injection of steroids and said that the lumps were nothing serious even those with the scurfy top, but were more than likely a reaction to something he had come into contact with and taking to account that he has had a rug on during the day time , it was something he had eaten.

We have had a change in the halage and he i was feeding that to him because I thought I was being a good mum, because it was truely wonderful condition, it was more than likely he was having a rection to it. So I put him back on hay and started the pain of soaking and over the last day and a half there has been a dramatic improvement, he looks so much better.

I had also put him on Omega oil so not sure if that has contibuted to the lumps so I have stopped that as well.

But I hope to be able to start to mix the hay with a little haylage over the next few weeks as he does tend to cough a liitle on hay.
