She was off to the vet yesterday to be checked but wagon wouldn't start, so stud turned her back out, and as their paddock was a bit poached, let them into the wide grass alleyways between the other paddocks as there is a bit of grass there to munch -

Cue Asti and Lottie (her spotty best mate) galloping hell for leather up and down, stopping only to flirt madly, tails in the air, with the gelding in the next door paddock!

Anyway, she went to see the vet this morning, she has a very small tear either side of the vaginal opening, so she's not to be covered again this time to give it time to heal (has been done twice, second covering caused the bleeding) and she's had some antibiotics in an injection and has 4 sachets to use one a day from tomorrow in feed.

She was a bit sweaty when she got back, and dug her bed about a bit, but was eating hay OK but looked a little colicky, then would sleep, then would look a bit colicky again.

Left her in her cooler rug, she's had a very sloppy feed with some oil in to help ease anything through. She's had some coligone.

I think she looks more like its a bit cystitis-y rather than colic, and she seems happy enough in herself, just has a mildly funny tummy (she's really squatting to pee and lets out huuuuge farts when she squats that much!)

I'm just happy to have her home, and I'll be keeping everything crossed for scan - about 16 July...!

Hope everything goes well and shes in-foal
