YO says I can move my horse into the vacant stable & that she doesn't want the 18 year old to move her horse as they've already made allowances for the horses breathing problems (they are allowed shavings we all have straw and they've taken a couple of bricks out to help with ventilation).
Spoke to 18 year old on the phone and said whilst her horse is on box rest (it has a strained tendon caused by being taken galloping with three shoes) she could have the stable until the mare is able to be turned out and if she didn't want to move she could tie up outside whenever as outside this stable has the most even surface. She said she didn't want to move her bedding twice, the mare would be too unsettled having to move in then move out after a few months that I was selfish and I could stick it! (lovely).
The reasons I wanted to move aren't major, the stable my horse is currently in is too low really at the front (the ceiling slopes in the wrong direction
), it leaks slightly in heavy rain, it's on the busiest part of the yard which isn't great as it unsettles my horse, it gets much hotter than the other stables during the summer and my horse really sweats when he is in during the day and horse dislikes being tied outside my curent stable as he has horses walking past every two minutes.
I've been a livery on this yard for ten years, have only had two disagreements with other liveries during this time, always pay, don't break rules and don't ask for special treatment etc
So I guess what I'm really asking is do I give into the 18 year old and let her have the stable I want if the YO lets her move and stay where I am for good , because her horse would be better standing outside there whilst it's leg is healing even though she's been rude to me?
