Oh my goodness we did it - thank you everyone for your vibes they worked. Poor little soul was terrified by the mirrors and they had a merchandise stall in the gallery which had lots of scary things, but even though he went round like a banana in both tests we got through them and had some lovely comments from the judges which really made me feel we should have another go, not bad for a horse that nearly had to be PTS last year - I am very surprised but we both quite enjoyed the experience, I feel really proud of Ryan today, he tried so hard and managed to deal with the whole experience really well and all the judges fell in love with him and said how lovely he was, which was so nice of them, I think they could see he was terrified!
By the way - the tip on remembering to breathe worked really well and after the rain, the sun came out and we did turn it into a relaxing morning for him so he got a large haynet and got to enjoy watching everyone coming and going, he particularly liked watching a very beautiful grey mare that was parked near him, think that made his day!
