This post recieved over 20 000 views in its day and I have been asked to give an update, if I could stand it due to the many snipes I recieved at the time, however the more constructive comments out weighed the others so here I go.
I did take on board the majority of comments and gave him a few months off. After about 3 weeks he was back 100% to his normal self, no weaving, pushing etc.
In April he is going to a top international event yard to start his career in eventing and from what people have said he has every chance of being a top horse.
I have realised that this type of horse is extremely rare and when you do find one with the potential to go to the top you do need the professionals around you to take them forward even if their methods are alien at first.
This type of horse does need a different approach and ive had to learn this from the professionals (he does get sneaky cuddles but all on his terms).
I have no doubt in my mind, if all goes to plan, that this horse will be at Badminton in years to come, but in the end it will be his choice and thats all that matters.
