Update - puppy and my sofa!

Harley has not even tried to get up on my sofa for days!!! Yeah!

I got tougher with him and instantly he stopped challenging me if I caught him there, and as the days went on he tried it less and less.

So thank you very much for your imput! I've toughened up now!

Thats the only way to do it, beat them into submission

Glad he is taking notice of you, it is so easy to let them get away with murder when they are little and set yourself up with problems with the adult dog. I think dogs, like children, are much happier when they have firm boundaries. Oh and I was of course joking in the first sentence

Glad to hear it - dogs respect and *like* having boundaries much more than they don't, it makes them much more comfortable and settled.
