I have been told he was both in cash by 'chillers' or 'chilters'

They dont hold contact details as the sale was in cash

does this name ring a bell to anyone? google isnt throwing much up :S
 
theres a sale local to me next friday, wisbech is getting closer this way and alot of the Cambridge dealers go to it, If your friend would like to PM me her mobile number I will take photos when I'm there if I find it she can bid by phone.
 
thank you soo much, we live near huntingdon so am tempted to go up myself - would recognise his face anywhere Im sure.

but am not sure if hes gone to a dealer after all as the person who bought him didnt bring anything to sell and only bought one other horse.

Unfortunately because they paid cash the sales office didnt record the address of phone number

very little - we have a name and a county and thats it, but doesnt appear that this person is a dealer, so hopefully whereever he is he has his forever home and isnt going to be passed on.
 
oh no, I was so hoping for some kind of Saddle Club/ Jinny book happy ending.

Do the auctioneers not keep any details from the passport? SO you could contact the passport agency to send your details to the new owners?

I havent been able to find him - all enquiries have met deadends, I hope that Alligator40 is right and they arent buyers for turners.

I managed to speak to the offices at Melton and she was convinced that the buyers are private and said she didnt recognise the name - maybe she was just trying to be nice??

Sorry I havent posted updates on my search seems some button happy HHO didnt like my posts and Ive had a warning for talking about dealers.

didnt mean to leave you all hanging was just soo cross I didnt feel much like posting.

I think some people on here dont understand what Im bothering or have questioned my motives. I was just genuinely trying to help a friend

Just to add, they apparently only bought him and a welsh section A - so Im with Alligator in thinking if they where buying for turners they would have more than than, plus the Turners lorry was there on Saturday and I am 99% certain he wasnt on it
 
ok i havent read your posts why your searching but from what i have read you are desperate to find an answer - so back off to people who may have reported you - jesus we read so much about cruelty etc here is a person who cares be it for her or friend so ppl back off unless you can help her - I really hope you get an answer - good or bad - but an answer . big hugs xxxx
 
Sorry to rant but I have followed this with HOPE for you. I admire your efforts.

To mention a business I dont think anything you said was wrong! I have joined the forum recently to learn and have learnt different angles good and bad to the horse world.

I want to know where to look etc and if a business /dealer etc are no good even I will google them as the information on the good and bad is in the public domain anyway! There are some FAB folks/dealers/livery yards out there too trying to please.

I am staggered that if you have been reported that these reportees are brushing what is not so good under the carpet. OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND.

Stupid people do they think we are stupid too!

But I dont know why you got picked up. Stop snitching people like me are trying to learn, we are not stupid and realise the horse world is not always rosy.But most of the time responsible people are fine and good! Sorry astounded!
 
One last thought for you. This is a good story, why not contact the local press at Wisbech and see whether they would put an article in the local press.

Best thing always is to write the story yourself in a nice emotive way, keep short and sweet, and in my experience it is normally edited and printed, if it is interesting!! I think they would love it.

Just remember to set up a new email address for anyone to send information to!!

I really dont understand why anyone thinks something fishy is going on.

Maybe I am naive to what goes on in these forums. but really I dont have the time or inclination to log onto a forum and post a question, then make up another user and reply to my own posts!! that sounds like proper crazy talk to me!!

I dont know who victoria1980x is, believe whatever you will.

The pony has not been found. I will not be asking anyone else on here for help or advice.

Again the minority spoiling it for the rest of us.
