Update - surgery booked!!

Hi all.

Feeling much brighter now, so glad you all spoke up about your experiences.
Went to the doctors yesterday, who didn't seem massively concerned, but he did arrange for me to get a 2nd opinion at the hospital this morning.

The surgeon i saw was very straight talking to say the least! He couldn't believe that they hadn't put me down for emergency surgery in the 1st place.
I'm booked in for surgery next thursday, and if it wasn't for you lot then i wouldn't have questioned them at all. Thank you so much!

On the downside... it's badly broken enough that he might need to graft bone from my hip to beable to mend it.

I have had a bone graft from my hip and it was fine, it helped it all to heal more quickly and the bone graft site didnt worry me at all. So good luck
 
Good luck. Here's hoping it goes well. You'll soon be up and about again. Never broken my collar bone, but I have heard it's a particularly painful break.

That's fantastic news I'm really pleased for you. I have never regretted having mine done and it reduces the recovery time hugely. Good luck xxx
 
I'm actually really quite excited, which is a bizarre feeling as i've always dreaded the thought of it before.
Desperate to get back in the saddle...i've managed to get outside today for all of about 15mins, and it knackered me out for the rest of the day!
The horses were obliging and pretended to be really pleased to see me, though Boozle didn't look very guilty!
