Hello all!
I have been reading but not posting for the last couple of weeks as I have been really busy at work and any time not at work has been spent at the yard admiring my lovely girl.
She is an absolute dream in the stable, very relaxed and always available for cuddles. I have been riding her about 4 times a week and we are getting on relatively well. I'm still getting used to her huge canter, especially in the small indoor school. I have basically decided that we can't do group work in canter in there as I just can't turn her quickly enough to avoid other horses without feeling that the turns are too tight for such a big girl. We did some trotting poles last night and she was very good, didn't rush and concentrated very hard on picking her feet up over them. I may have the courage to trot her over a small cross pole soon.
My parents came to see her the first weekend I had her and my dad, who is a keen amateur photographer took a few snaps. No ridden shots yet sadly but I will try to get some soon. That's my mum in the background of the second one. My parents are not horsey at all and my mum is slightly intimidated by horses as they are so big but they both showed an interest which was lovely.
