RIP Okkie and condolences to Llewellyn who rescued him and to his owners who loved him so much.

And thank you to Remus Sanctuary for making his last few days more comfortable. I'm sure he would have appreciated the help he was being given, the love he was receiving and the company of other horses.
 
remussanctuary, thank you so much for letting us know, and for making sure that his last days were so wonderful - company, comfort, warmth, food, and love. it is a horrible shame he had to wait so long for those. thank goodness he collapsed at your place where a vet could alleviate his suffering quickly. the alternative does not bear thinking about.
Llewelyn did an amazing thing getting him rescued, she has my profound respect. it is so easy to carry on driving by and put suffering out of ones mind.
