Just back from the hospital and still smiling.
Her lungs are clear (at least for the time being), she's breathing by herself, she's just on paracetamol and doesn't seem to be too uncomfortable and they are very happy with her progress. She opened both eyes this morning just briefly and although her right side isn't working quite so quickly as her left side it's all coming together just fine.

She has now been downgraded from a 3 to a 2 and has been moved from the critical area of the NCCU to the High Dependency area so we are all extremely encouraged.

I'm going to stop posting daily updates now because I think there will probably be little to say other than that she's progressing slowly for quite some time, but I promise to let you all know when any big steps are achieved. Please keep thinking positively for her and I can't thank you all enough for your support and encouragement.

Just to add, a friend had booked Badminton tickets for all of them the day before the accident and when she phoned to cancel they said that if Rosie was in any way well enough there would be free tickets on the gate for them all anyway. This is the sort of level of support the family has had from all quarters since day one and it means a lot.

I've just posted on the earlier thread that I'm running out of words and that 'brilliant news' or 'fantastic' just don't seem to cover it - but I'm sure you understand what we all mean.

I read each of your posts with a lump in my throat and continue to send best wishes to you all.

...there go us all but for the grace of God....

It's getting better and better.

Please keep us udated though as I know that all those on the periphary of Rosies circle, like B and all her friends rush to check how she is. Maybe every few days if every day is becoming a bit tedious (wrong word I know).

I echo meardsall_millie's thoughts, we're running out of words but the strength of our feelings stays constant. You can count on us for more support whenever you need it.

I am so pleased to read this, Rosie and her family are still in my thoughts. Come on Rosie you are doing great.

Its wonderful news.
I know so many people who don't usually come on HHO have followed your posts, along with all of us.
I am sure everyone will understand that you may not post so frequently.
But our thoughts, hopes and very best wishes will stay with you all every day, even though we don't get an update.
It's mothers day tomorrow... I hope you all have a peaceful day and you are able to have news to smile about again. x

Your post yesterday was the one I'd been waiting for

.

You must all be very, very strong people to go through all this (not just Rosie but the rest of you). Fingers crossed for Badminton. I reckon she'll be there.

Hope there are many more updates like this to come.

As a mum who's daughter also works with race horses I have been following Rosies progress since the accident closely.
All I can say is that she must be one fit lady who is an out and out fighter - her progress has been nothing short of amazing.
My thoughts will still be with you hoping and praying her recovery continues to proceed well.
Take care of yourself also
x

Dear T, thanks again for this positve update. So happy that Rosie is making steady progress.
Have a bit of a break but do let us know when Rosie takes another big step to full recovery. What a brave girl she is...
Thoughts with her and you, always.
