Hi all, not sure if any of you saw my previous thread about my dachshund who underwent spinal surgery to remove a slipped disc which had left her paralysed...
Well this Thursday will be a week since she came home (surgery was Sunday), and today... she stood up all by herself and held herself up for the time it took me to put her collar on! So chuffed, she's been improving every day and we are now walking (with the help of a sling type contraption around her back legs and bum to take the weight off) about 10/15m twice a day, she is going to the toilet outside and has regained full control of her bladder. She is still heavily medicated but she is responding so well to it and the physio that we are doing with her
Pointless post really but just thought I'd share for any of those who were interested in hearing how she is doing xx
