Upright foot/club foot

Anyone have experience of a prformance horse with the above? I enquired about insuring a horse for affil SJ with this problem (noted in vetting) and one one company was prepared to offer loss of use and then with a mega premium!

Not sure how to argue it at the moment but my OH is telling me not to buy the horse if it can't be covered for lou!!

I know someone who competes in advanced dressage on a hrose with a club foot and he is perfectly sound. He doesn't do much jumping though so don't know how it would affect a showjumper.
