Need to talk, as rather pissed on how cruel some owners are..Vet came out to do a what was to be a caslick op on my 3yr old mare i brought late last year, as noticed rather loose & vocal, on further inspection from vet it is so much worse, she not only loose torn the outer but inside is ripped to bits full of scar tissues and mm's from tearing in her anus, which in some cases is a pts job, the cause she has already had a foal, I asked about this when I brought her, which person said never had & not in foal, always better to be safe. Not only was it a ****** to at least try to fix the outside a little, nothing can be done inside, but it would of been a very very messy birth, makes you wonder why people done nothing, it seems from couple ppl point of view she was probably sold as she would no longer carry/ get pg again.
What makes it so cruel not only was she so young but to just leave her in that state knowing and then selling ov with timing once foal was weaned.
Grr.... Sorry for little rant, but it makes me so frustrated.
 
That is terrible! Poor girl- at least she has you now to care for her.

On a slightly lighter note and I'm not making light of your post at all- I'm so impressed you got a swear word through the filter- TWICE!:)

Friend was telling me earlier about a mare that was so badly ripped but not treated that she had to be covered with a rolled up newspaper in her anus. Apparently they will deal with the birth when it happens!
