Can anyone do these? I mean where you plait the hair sort of under rather than over? I had a go tonight and it really didn't work - the plait was upside down, but it was wiggling from side to side and tufts of hair were sticking out all over the place. I didn't seem to have enough hands!

Can anyone give me step by step instructions please?

I dont have a clue what your talking about! Does anyone have a picture im intrigued! The only way i know of plaiting a tail is like a french plait!

When you are plaiting a mane do it backwards like you will in a tail plait. Not only will the plaits be tighter and sit better, it will give you good practise.
When you are happy doing that, then attempt a tail.
I taught myself to do that when I was about 10, and cant plait 'forwards' now.

Used to do this all the time year ago..on horses and daughters!! Tried again recently when I started showing again and can I do it....no!!! Damn annoying as they look great!! Will try the mane trick thanks for that

I can't do them ... yet! I will get around to teaching myself when I have the time but when you have anywhere between 6 and 12 horses all needing dolled up at the races time isn't something you have to play with!
