any idea what the PN course is like?
& whether the SJ is up to height?
just done a spur of the moment entry in the under 21 class due to marchington & nutwell cancellations with my little piebald & wondering how he'll cope as we haven't competed affiliated [intro] since llanymynech!!
he's done 2 PNs at moreton & somerford & gone clear XC, so fingers crossed he'll be fine!

any info really appreciated

PN xc course is not the biggest track I've come across but is is all on hills which makes it more interesting. Despite that it does ride very well.
The SJ was up to height last year and the ring is quite tight but again, rode well last year.
Dressage is well away from everything and on flat land.

I'm going to Upton as well not been there before but I needed to enter PNRF as Stockland Lovell and Milton Keynes were cancelled!

Lets hope it's so hot we'll be having to hunt down shade again like we were at Llanymynech...rather than hiding from the rain like we are at the moment!

Dressage is in a good location, away from the lorries, SJ and xc but does take about 5 minutes to get there. But it is flat.

XC looked nice but plenty of hills
SJ was at top of hill close to the xc and on the way to SJ

Sister went there last year but only did the dressage

yes, i agree - pray for sun!

thanks for the info

oh..and i read in the eventing guide to the season that the percentage of XC clears last year was 47%?!
does anyone know if there was a fence in particular which made the figures so low??

Probably better not to know then you can't worry about it! You'll be fine! Just keep kicking!

I'm glad it's a stronger course as mare is going to do novice soon so could do with a decent track.
