Just realised it's 83 miles so within our reach, what's it like?
Will prob do the PN course as Chocx still needs a couple of confidence boosting runs.
So many of our events have hit the dust (Blackdown/Nutwell/Hatherleigh etc it makes sense to try and fit some more in.
Access from the M5 is important as it will take us a couple of hours to get there I think.
Anyone else going?

Very straightforward, easy course - was just discussing it with Lec actually as she is going. Perfect confidence boosting run i would say.

bit like the pony club version of BE so not posh a working riding centre but they never ballot and nearly always run. its probably a bit further than you think if i recall correctly slightly north of bristol but you should do it in a couple hours at the most

It is South of Bristol get off at Junction 21 (WSM) head towards Bristol and probably 15 mins at the most.

I don't think they have any water there

It's near Bristol Airport, easy to get to from the M5.

I've not been for a couple of years but is a straight forward course, bit boring so good for confidence.

Dressage is nice until the xc starts as part of the course runs along side the field for dressage. Same goes for the sj which was on a slope and all poles, no fillers.

I sent my entry off at the beginning if the week as I will be working at Stockland Lovell for 2 weeks.....have absolutely no idea what it is like there having never ventured any further west than Mattingley!!

Very dull course - no water the PN is the best upgrade course I can think of from intro. Its short and flat. The SJ can be a git as on a slope but I have thought hard and decided to go and do the novice. The Sj is also up to height as xc has no baring on the results.
If you look at the results from last year you need a hot dressage score as the xc never comes into play. The dressage can cause problems as right next to the xc. It has rained every time I have been to Urchinwood so pack the wet weather gear! Go to junction 21 of M5 turn right and keep going for about 5 miles and its signposted. Its my closest event.

Right, if we can get in, we'll go!
AA map finder says 83 miles and we will plead for a late dressage. I never mind finishing late, just loathe 4am starts.
Son says he will look after foal if it still is around.
We have Winkleigh on 11th weather permitting, it seems ages since we did a BE....

HH, if i were you, and you're thinking of aiming for a Novice, Urchinwood would be the place to do it!! Doesn't matter that he hasn't had a run for a while!! Urchinwood really is the easiest course around!! As someone said above, little more than PC.
