Haven't ridden around it but when I looked at it last year whilst fence judging it seemed to be lots of telegraph rails. No water or banks as far as I remember.
The most boring BE course on the circuit, with the possible exception of Bovington. It's 99% black telegraph poles, and unless you're desperate for a run or very very local, I'd pick pretty much anywhere else. Also probably underwater as they've just canceled their upcoming XC clinic due to the ground.
In the schedule they said they were only doing 90 and 100 the photos look very small jumps in the link much more like an 80 so was wondering whether to do the 100, any feed back would be grateful
The 100 used to be the Novice - don't let that fool, you, it was the smallest novice on the circuit! It would be fine at 100, probably an ideal first time 100 because once the horse has jumped the first 3 fences the rest will all look remarkably familiar. It is tiny, the photos are not fooling you!
I went there a couple of years ago for the BE100 and would never go again.........poured all day (not their fault obviously) and the course was tiny, the ground had no grass cover and turned into an ice rink. Everyone was very friendly though!
Yawn, echo comments said above. Took Mini TX there 3 years ago and had a bit of a boring day, livened up by her winning a BE100 and winning a nice bridle. No atmosphere, but has an indoor cafe if the weather is bad.
I always struggle to know what to do as 15 mins away so diesel costs low but in return it's a dressage competition. I did my first novice there and it was novice height and intro technicality!! I might even go this year if I need a QR for something but torn over whether it's worth a day off work!! I fence judged one year and it was the worst lunch ever!!
