Urgent advice needed

We have a TB mare who is due to foal on the 16/02/09 & she has started to 'bag up' & their is a bloody mucus coming from her back end. Is this normal?

Bearing in mind that her last 2 foals have been still born im very worried. Im due to take her over to stud to foal in the morning & they have said that they will have the vet over to her then but i dont know wheter to call our own vet out tonight.

my advice would be to get her checked now as you wouldnt want to travel her to a stud if somethig was wrong we had a mare with same symptons last may and she was fine i hope your mare is too.

did you find out what the discharge was from? Im only travelling her 20 miles up the road in the morning.

the vet said she had a infection and was given norodine granules

Please get vet before travelling. Better a bit of money spent than a lost foal. Hope all will be ok xx
