Urgent appeal

It's unlikley that there will be a mass slaughter of the equine residents of this place.

The RSPCA, WHW and local council are bound to be allready involved in locating new homes for many of those who are fit to be re-homed, I would imagine.

I also posted this yesterday in Latest news. I have put an appeal on another forum as well and so far a few people have donated.I really hope something can be done, but there is such a short space of time left now.

I'm not sure as when you go on the appeal page it states £2300 but it is dated November 09 so presumably the target has been brought closer since then.On their latest news bit it says that someone ran the marathon for them and raised £1000 so presumably it is at least £3300 but they need £6000.

The website was also saying a fortnight or so ago that they had allready moved.

So check before you send any money as to how legitimate this appeal from a non registered charity actually is.

From what I can gather the sanctuary moved there in 2008. The premises are rented but will be being sold from under them. They are trying to raise the money to buy the property.Presumably they moved there thinking it was safe as I can't see anyone moving horses around the country for a couple of years before having to move on again. I don't know anything about the charity but there have been appeals on all the local tv stations and in the local press. From what the charity are saying their horses that will have to be pts are too ill to move. I don't know what the circumstances are exactly only what I have come across in the press.

They aren't a registered charity. Doesn't that mean that if they get this money then the farm basically becomes their personal property?
