The White Horses Charity takes young underprivileged people on donated Camargue horses on a 1,800 kilometres ride from the Camargue in South East France to London.
Over five months they ride and camp out each night and have the experience of their young lives.
Both French and British young people are chosen to take part.
On arrival in London, the horses are donated to Riding for the Disabled groups in the UK and France.
Jakki Cunningham, the founder and mother of a profoundly deaf daughter, founded the charity as the result of a divinely inspired dream. This is the third time that she has organised the amazing long-distance ride.
However, the professional groom, who is essential for insurance purposes, has just dropped out for personal reasons.
Jakki now urgently needs another qualified groom who can drive one of the horse-drawn supply vehicles, possibly for the rest of the journey, or at least temporarily until another replacement is found.
I am visiting the group each weekend and they are truly inspirational.
The group set off on May 8th and are due to arrive in London in late September.
