Hi everyone, I really need some help.

My partner is moving to Wrangway, nr Wellington, Somerset. There's a yard where she's moving to but has been told last minute that there's no room for our 2 horses.

Does anyone know of anywhere that does DIY livery on a budget? Looking to pay £20 per week per horse max really!

Looked at Heazle but it might be a bit out of our price range. Also looked at Southey Farm but waiting to hear back on their prices.

Not bothered about facilities like schools etc as we prefer to just hack out together and the yard they're coming from was very basic so it's not like we'd miss it!

Thanks in advance

I would rewrite your thread and put the area you are looking for in the thread title as may attract more attention

I believe that Southey Farm only do Part or Full livery. I know there are several private yards around Wrangway, the only contact number I have is for Warwick Farm, is that the one you contacted? If not PM me and I'll let you know the details.

Other than Heazle have you considered Culm Pyne? I know they did have spaces and offer DIY, assisted DIY and Full livery. Again PM me if you would like details as I don't want to be seen to be advertising!!

Yup it will be !!! ;)

When mine was (briefly) at working livery there, their prices were £45 per week winter WL; this included hay/lage and bedding only, anything else inc hard feed was extra!!! AND they still expected you to pay for shoeing as well. Winter turnout was extremely limited/virtually none.

Summer working livery was £25 per week.

For this, they'd use the horse for two "sessions" per day. Extortionate IMO considering they were getting use of the horse for basically free AND using it in their riding school (for which people would pay obviously!).

I think the DIY prices are on their website.

try moorhen farm. they are bridgewater area, you should find them on google, if not pm me and will have a hunt for a number.

Hi - don't know if you are still looking but there is a place just around the corner from Southey Farm that has stables with grass turnout to let - they have a sign outside. No other facilities but turnout looks nice and yard is spotless? go up past Hangeridge Farm instead of turning off to Southey. No idea what it is like but ride past there sometimes and it looks OK.

There is also a place advertising which is other side of wellington - Bradford on Tone way - I went to look at this and the yard is lovely and they have a fantastic school, but hacking is a bit limited - they have a notice in the window of Golden Hill pet supplies.

Hope you find something.
