As im doing a lot more work with Java now ie competing etc after the winter

He needs more energy !!

My instructor suggested a slow release energy like an endurance mix
To give him that extra sparkle :D

Is spillers response any good?

I need something that will by no circumstances make him silly as he is silly enough at parties :D

We have only just got his loading cracked .... He used to take 2 hours to go In and after hard work and perseverance he goes in first time every time and I don't want to make him silly so that he won't go in!

It doesn't help that out grass is totally rubbish at the moment

Normally it's extremely lush and green at this time of year that we have to severly restrict grazing especially for my cushings/laminitic even he Is on the slim side

Need to buy tomorrow hence the urgency

Thanks :D

I use winergy equilibrium on the pony, comes In 3 different energy levels & doesn't send em crazy! It's the only thing we've found that works to give him plenty of energy without turning him into a loony xx

Ooh thanks hadn't thought of that one!

I'm typing into google as we speak!

I need to give him more energy especially when showjumping to keep his canter upright and bouncy but controlled

I used the spillers to give my boy a bit more sparkle without blowing his mind :D
I only feed 3 handfuls and the difference is amazing - he's got more energy but not so much that he acts like a ****

The winergy is a complete mix, I don't feed anything else with it, just add a bit of water. It was due to the lack of energy when jumping that we tried it too, he's a different pony now! xx

Ooh both of those sound good,

He normally gets hi fi lite, blue chip original, haylage and nupafeed calmer

I want to keep him on his blue chip so could I feed that with the winergy?

The spillers sounds good also

i like dodson & horrell staypower they do a mix or cube version of it, another one thats good is allen & page power & preformance you have to soak this one

Thanks :D

That's good that I can get something that won't send him loopy as he is sometimes so stressy at shows mainly as before I got him he had never been ridden with another horse really for 12 years!

And then After I had him for 6 months after lots of hard work on his jumping I take him to a show and he gets very excited! He reared last time when I was trying to tack up !

Can recommend the spillers slow release cubes- one of my horses has been on them for years- since they started to make them- they are good for spooky horses and give plenty of energy without fizz, i pay about £9.95 per bag.

Another vote for the Spillers Slow Release, love it. Have a nervy TB who needs plenty of work to keep him sweet, and it provides all the energy for the work, without adding to his stress levels!

Bailey's No 6, recommended for my TB who will only eat a small meal, she gets one scoop bailey's am and pm with a muug of lo-cal so it lasts for ages and doesn't send her loopy (although I think nothing short of a rocket would do that ). I paid about £10 a bag. It is a complete feed so no need for chaff etc on top.

Another vote for No6 here too. Doesn't send my TB loopy either.
