:eek::eek::eek: i THINK both of my horses have thrush :eek::eek::eek:.it has only occurred after the torrential rain yesterday and they were out all night. i know this because i pick out their feet at least once a day.

their frogs are like sponges (in feel and look) and the foot smells disgusting! it smells more in some than others and is defo not their normal smell. it smells slightly damp but i dont know how else to describe - never smelt anything like it

i have hibi-scrubbed with a little water so it looks soapy (is that what your meant to do?)

:confused::confused::confused:WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?:confused::confused::confused:

please help me! i have really important shows coming up in the next few weeks too. im fretting soo much.

even if you dont think its absoloutley correct, please write it down!

double choc muffin and fanta if you get this far

Relax thrush doen't happen overnight..even if it was raining heavily.

But if they have got thrush it's best treated with sterilising solution (the stuff used for babies bottles) such a Milton or shops own brands...the Sodium chloride kills off the bacteria, just scrub the feet daily with it. :)

My lad suffers from thrush. I use a cheap version of canestan and an antiseptic cream, both mixed together and syringed into crease of frog (or wherever it is needed!!) takes no more than a week to clear it up doing this twice a day everyday.
