We are in desperate need of a foster mare for a thoroughbred filly foal orphaned this morning. We are in Pembrokeshire, west wales but will travel to pick up a mare if available. If anyone knows of anything anywhere please contact us! 07970704456

Thanks for all your upport, we've not been able to find anything so far, there was a women in glamorgan who registered her mare with the national foaling bank which would have been ideal but then 'changed her mind' because she didnt want to upset the mare! Nothing else has come come up close enough to be viable. We have a pony next to the foal now for company but are looking for a pony yearling or similar to be of a closer size and attitude to loan for the summer for company.
Any other ideas would be extremely appreciated!!!!

Thanks Beckie, the mare they had is in cumbria which is a little too far to transport the mare or the foal.
The foal is doing ok at the moment, she is taking creep feed and milk from us but obviously not an ideal situation. We have found a pony yearling locally that we can borrow for company for it so we are out of the danger zone but still looking for a foster mare!!

Some-one was after a donkey foal this morning, just look a page or two back- tho no idea if you could foster between horses & donkeys perhaps worth a try?

My mare lost her foal yesterday. I am in wolverhampton, may be a bit far. I have registered with the national foaling bank. I would not be able to take in foal though so you would need to collect or arrange transport for my mare. I wish you every success with the foal if i can't help.
