URGENT! FOSTER MARE NEEDED.

I am putting this in more than one section for maximum exposure, I apologise if you have already read it.

Sadly my best friend lost her mare foaling at 5am this morning, they have the foal and need a foster mare for her. The foal is by a 16.3 stallion out of a 16.1 mare so the mare needs to be able to support a foal that is going to be quite big. She has asked me to appeal and to speak to anyone that may have a mare on her behalf has she is quite upset. The mare will have to go to the foal which is near Burnley, Lancashire.
If the mare accepts the foal, they would have to stay with the foal for 5 to 6 months, she is happy for the mare and foal to be moved to my place in Gloucestershire in time if the mare is from down south so that the mare will be closer to it owner for them to visit. It is a big commitment to put your mare out as a foster mare (It is something I have done myself in the past) but it is a truly wonderful thing if you can give an orphan foal a new mummy.

Thanks guys yes all those have been contacted, chloesterum was got from MF & twemlows for the foal, unfortunately the young vet that came out wanted to give up on the foal and just pts the mare, he didn't give them even 5-10 minutes to milk the mare, the NFB was a little cross at this. So while I was putting appeals up for them this morning, they were driving around getting chloesterum from far and wide, they eventually got enough and didn't have to travel as far as me to get some which save them a few hours! The foal is doing extremely well considering, she has taken to the bottle, so fingers crossed.
