Does anyone know of any grazing available in the Ash/Farnham Surrey area. We've 6 horses and a foal at foot, anything considered. Have just been given notice due to property going on the market and they want us out by the 8th Jan :-O

That hardly seems a fair notice period ?. Can you ask to remain there until its actually sold which will give you time to find somewhere ?

I would ask on Surrey Horse and Pony Facebook page if you haven't already, although I'd have thought that regardless of your lease being up, you would legally require a notice period equivalent to your rental one i.e. monthly if our pay every month. Hope you get it sorted. It sounds rather callous of them!

Sorry I'm not much help but I'd double check the notice period. Even when a lease is due to end, a period of 1 month notice for non-renewal should be given. In some cases it's 2 months for tenants. Such short notice really is unreasonable! I wouldn't panic, get advise as this doesn't seem right. They can ask you to leave but there are laws and legally a tenant can stay until a court says otherwise. I'm not saying go down this route, but you do have time to find out if they are acting within the law. Even if tenancy is up.
