Im entering best turned out, riding horse, best potential riding club horse and best horse to hunt with local pack. My horse is a black wb type, i have plain black tack with pelham, do i need a coloured velvet browband? (though i guess wont be correct for the hunter class but the hunter class is directly after the riding horse class)

I have a brown tweed jacket/beige jods black gaiters/boots/spurs. What colour cane/hat/gloves? I have a brown cane but as my tack is black it would look awful? so would black be better, but then i would have to have black gloves as black gloves and brown cane would look awful.lol! HELP!!

Brown tack is correct, for the hunter a plain bridle with no velvet browband. A double or rugby pelham. Straight cut saddle with no numnah or one the same colour as the saddle cut very close.

For you hacking jacket, beige breeches, long boots, spurs, cream shirt and tie with tie pin. Navy velvet hat with leather flesh coloured harness, hair in a bun. Brown leather gloves and brown show cane.

For a riding horse:

Brown Tack
Double Bridle
Ribbon Browband

You should be in a hacking/tweed jacket, shirt and tie, beige jods, long boots, blue velvet hat, brown gloves, brown cane, spurs are traditional (i wear dummy spurs).

This is all best case scenario though. I've seen different colour velvet hats, black tack etc before in the show ring.

Good luck!

I think what you have is fine!!! No one is really going to look that close at local show. If it makes you feel better and you can find one, buy a black cane, otherwise don't worry

Just have fun
