urgent help piriton

hi can anyone help does anyone know how many piriton tablets to give a shetland pony for a reaction to a incect bite?

My 450kg TB was on 10 tablets twice a day for his allergies in winter. I would say maybe 4-5 for your shetland if it's bad?

My shetland was on 2 twice a day when he needed it (so 4 in total)

My Shetland has 1 in morning and 1 in afternoon for sweet itch.
I did give him more first, but he sweated a lot and immediately slept, so guessed that was too many!
