ok this is probably stupid but I am really worried , my horse managed to get a small mouth full of allen page fast fibre that was unsoaked , would this give him colic ?? advice needed

I'm sure he will be fine. Choke would be more likely I should think, has he swallowed it properly? If so don't worry. (too much, I know you won't be able to help it).

A small amount should do no harm, if it is not too late take his water away for a short while just to make sure it gets down without swelling up and causing choke, it does not swell up a huge amount so colic risk should be low.

ohh no straight afterwards he drank some water !!

How long has it been since he ate it? I wouldn't worry tbh, it doesn't expand much more than pony nuts etc do when soaked.

it was about 10 mins when I left and now it is about 25mins I do have a completely unhorsey person looking for the signs of colic (rolling, kicking belly ,etc.

Mine managed to get into our feed bins and ate about a half bucket of fast fibre (unsoaked) and he was fine.
I wouldn't worry just keep an eye but he should be fine. I wouldn't worry.

Mine did that years ago, it was speedybeet. Rang vet who said choke was the immediate danger but probably she'd be fine and would have a very pleased with herself expression on her face. (She did.)

If she hasn't choked within 20 minutes she should be ok, but watch for a couple of hours for possible colic. I think that's what he said but TBH, vet wasn't too worried because I'd caught her before she ate too much.
