Event rider Merel Blom is stuck on the A1 in France with four horses on board, in the snow. She has been stuck for over 30 hours now - can anyone help her?

"Pls share! If someone has information or can help, we stuck are with 4 horses on the A1 (Estreés Denicourt,exit D1029), for over 30 hours now. The horses are traveling back from Portugal and have been on the lorry almost non stop since Sunday evening.... Horses are very tired, cold and hungry. Need help or at least some information how long this is going to take."

That is dreadful!! Are there no emergency services she can contact? I'm assuming she has mobile phone/texting facilities. Poor horses.

What a nightmare - just read her FB page. Sorry if she were in Belgium could help but don't know anyone near Amiens in France.

Just seen that she's had hay & water from a local farmer.

How are the humans in the jam getting food?
Surely the emergency services must have a hard shoulder in which they can help the horses

Rollin on here is in France, but not sure exactly where.

I wonder if they would be able to get off the road to go and seek haven for a day or so - or even just food and a leg stretch...or if they are stuck solid on the road?
