US people - please help - terminology problem!

I'm hoping some American members can help me out here.

What is the US equivalent of what we in the UK call an 'affiliated' competition?

Here it means that the competition (dressage, SJ, eventing) is affiliated to a recognized national body such as BE, BSJA, etc. But I am trying to 'translate' this term for a US publication, and not sure what the equivalent would be????

I suppose it would be called a "Licensed" competition.

Maybe you could look on the US Equestrian Federation website to help find the correct terminology.

The United States Equestrian Federation govern the majority of equine sports in the states. As far as I know they are still called affiliated competitions, but are run by licensed officials.
