I emptied a bag of speedy beet into a food bin about a year ago now, but stopped using it..Is it a throw away job? does it have a use by date, i cant remember..It looks fine, bt obviously i wouldnt want to upset anyones tummy by using it..what do you think..

I use stuff thats slightly out of date, not sure I'd use something that had been sitting for a year though. Although it is dried I suppose, and if its been sealed it might be ok. No idea really, but I'd play safe and chuck it away, especially if there's a chance it might have got damp.

Hi chex, i suppose your right, just seems such a waste doesnt it..i hate thowing stuff away...lol...In the bin it goes...lol

Id be inclined to soak it and see what it smells like. I dont ise it myself but normal sugarbeet goes a bit mouldy if old and got a bit damp.....ooh I hate waste !!

Speedibeet is cheap enough to buy so I'd be inclined to sling the old stuff. Better be safe than sorry. As has been said, you could end up with a vets bill, & compared to the price of a fresh bag of Speedibeet......no contest really!
