As title basically.

Was out riding this morning and got bitten by a horsefly.

Arm got all itchy and started to throb quite badly - we were about an hour's ride from home and I knew that by the time we got back I'd probably be scratching myself raw and my arm would probably be twice the size ...... didn't have any money & anyway we weren't near any shops to buy any proprietory anti-hist's.

Sooooo........ started thinking about a "natural/herbal" solution, and thought well hey if you get stung by a Stinging Nettle you rub on a Dock Leaf - so picked a Dock Leaf and did it!

Almost immediately my arm stopped itching; the throbbing feeling went away and I was able to continue riding without being distracted by it. Only needed to re-apply Dock Leaf just the once on the way home.

Arm is fine now; no swelling, but not itchy, sore or anything. I can feel where I was bitten, yes, but I was amazed at the way the Dock Leaf took away the itching and sore-ness.

Anyone else used a Dock Leaf like this? I'd do it again if I was bitten.
