Useless but gushing post from a proud mum!

Sorry but I just have to share this with you. Many of you may remember the explosive and dangerous post about Breitlingh which we posted last year. This is our project horse who has tested our patience and at times my purse!
Today they (my daughter and Breitlingh) rode their 1st dressage competition since the beginning of this year and they did brilliantly. I have never seen them ride so well. So so proud! They got 67% & 65% and 2 x first prize. They can also advance to the next level as they got the points needed.
It has only taken us 18 months or thereabouts to get here but get here we have. Patience and a damn good classical trainer have been the way forward. They have also been selected for the riding clubs competition in 2 weeks time. Here about 10 of the South Holland riding clubs compete against each other. Last time my daughter did this she won her class with my mare Ruby and the club was second, beaten by 0.18%!
Sorry useless post but after all we've been thru this year, this makes up for it. Onwards and upwards.
So much to look forward to in the next few weeks, competitions, a well deserved holiday in Florida and a new horse.
 
They have made great progress, I remember the early videos, getting such good results can help make it all worthwhile and to some extent help you move on, have a lovely holiday and a new horse to look forward to, is it the palomino?

It's a lovely post. I haven't read about your daughter's progress but I do remember your posts about Ruby and what you went through. Have a great vacation and kudos to your daughter :)

Yes, its the palomino. My fantastic OH is buying her for me. Still need to get a job but things are looking up.
