Users of NAF Magic?? Opinions/experience please?

Not very impressed TBH. Horse wasn't keen on the taste & would tip bucket over unless watched plus it just didn't have much effect on him. I went back to his previous calmer which worked far better for him but was harder to get hold of.

I didn't find it much use either. I did think I saw a marginal improvement, but that might have been the placebo effect and it wasn't enough to persuade me to buy more.

Try the NAF helpline. I found them very helpful and I think it should kick in in something specific like 9 days!! Thats what NAF told me they found when they had trialled it. I did think it worked but then felt the benefits wore off. Kept mine on it for about a year then moved over to Nupafeed which I found much better. My friend still swears by Magic however for her psycho - or should I say ex-psycho - mare!

When I tried it - couple of years ago now, when it was first out I think - I couldn't get the horse it was intended for to eat it. I then tried it on my other horse and she wouldn't touch her food either. Ended up giving it to that YO's daughter for her horse and he would eat it, but only with copious amounts of garlic and he threw it around a bit.

Didn't work for mine, so tried a couple of others & they didn't work either!
I resorted to moving yards to put him on a more constant routine & this worked a treat!!
I guess every horse is different - good luck!

I found the Feel Good 30 Science Formula one worked well for him. I also know a couple of people who swear by Nupafeed.

Worked well on Goddy, he was noticeably less stressed out than without it. It did take him a while to get used to the taste, but was fine once did, just introduced it in small amounts. However, stopped using it as found Global Herbs so calm is fantastic, and since only needed it for competitions it worked out cheaper. G will eat it from my hand aswell!!

I found the magic didn't work but now my ex racer is on Dodson and Horrells placid he's much more chilled out! Plus its cheaper too.

My youngster has been on it for about 18 months - I think it works but am reluctant to stop it to find out for definite! He had no problem eating it - and he's a fussy eater.
