Rua and Jess get locked in the kitchen while I'm out (door to the dining room is left open) but Rua (who I've only had a week) has been scratching at the kitchen door. Obviously I don't know how long or how much she does it but the door is definitely marked.

I was thinking of putting a baby gate up so she wouldn't be able to scratch the door. Does anyone else do this? I left a radio playing and a DAP diffuser plugged in. It would although them to look into the hall (which is light and airy) and they'd probably be able to see people go past the house.

Yes, I use one to keep dog in kitchen / dining area as I don't allow him into lounge in case he meets the cats. That gate has made having him so much easier. I got the extra height one from Argos as I've a big dog.
