When ever I go out with Kasper I wear my helmet camera and make a little video afterwards.

I know I am not allowed, under BE rules, to wear the camera for any BE event, in my case local unaff ODE's.

However......

Is there anything in the rules about wearing the camera somewhere else on my body, such as my shoulder?

William FP had a camera on him somewhere at Burghley as there is footage from the riders point of view on his horse (see Fox Pitt eventing on Facebook). So I was wondering that the other day.

I looked at that but apparently he had special permission to wear it as it is a new slimline prototype.

I have just read through the BE rule book and think I have found the answer to my question anyway -

Electronic and Other Devices.
• No receiving, recording, transmitting or monitoring device may be used by a Competitor during any phase of an Event.
• Permission of the Chief Executive is required for use of a head or bridle camera.

That's a shame :( Love being able to watch it back to assess how I rode the course and make improvements

Surely you could ask for permission same as he has.

I've worn mine on shoulder (not BE) and it was ok. Not ideal attaching it by myself, would have been better with help and someone to check the angle.
