Using an agent/finder in Ireland

Following on from my last thread about the lack of horses coming up, has anyone successfully used an agent in Ireland, and are there any that come recommended please?

I know precisely what I want in a horse - that’s making it either very easy (as I can discount things that don’t fit) or very hard as there’s not much about!

Losing the will scouring adverts every day. I did a wanted ad online, but got sent anything other than what I’d asked for, not even close to my wanted e.g two hands smaller despite saying I’m tall.

ETA I have already tried contacting several dealers over here, but nobody has anything suitable at the moment.

Can you pop in here what sort of horse you are looking for?
I do know some agents but it depends if you want an event horse / jumper / riding club type etc who would be most suitable with the right contacts?
Thank you. I want a smart competition cob (not sure how else to describe!)

15.2+
4-8yo
Gypsy/traditional chunky cob gelding
Nicely marked coloured.
Forward thinking .
Green is fine, provided quality paces and a good attitude.

Thank you. I’ve been watching Adam Ferris’ page, but not seen any traditionals yet (although loads of lovely horses) but I think it’s worth me contacting him anyway.

Another one I thought of today who I haven’t yet asked is Gormley Horses.

Another lady I just thought of is Danielle mcnalley. A few friends have had corker show trads off her. She does sell them young though so won’t be broken etc and you’ll need to be able to “see into the future” so to speak lol

You could try River Lodge stables, in the North so easy transport. I know their stable jockey and she's a kind rider. They have more around your size bracket, they could be quite green but would have been to little XC etc. Search - 'River Lodge Stables. Talk Horses' on facebook
